Mr. Lyle "Jim" Hutchings, Jr., 65, of Burlington died at 8:34 p.m. Monday, March 7, 2016, at Great River Hospice House in Burlington.
Born August 24, 1950 in Burlington, he was the son of Lyle J. Sr. and Mary (Gulick) Hutchings.
Mr. Hutchings was a Burlington High School graduate and an Army veteran of Vietnam. He worked as a slot machine technician at Catfish Bend Casino. He enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include one sister, Diana Crear of Burlington; one niece, Tammy Anderson of Burlington; two nephews of whom Lyle and Jack raised, Harold Bowman of Dennison and Zackary (Angelia) Bowman of Burlington.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his partner of 40 years, Jack Bowman; one sister, Sandra Bowman; and one niece, Misty Underwood.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 15th, at Lunning Chapel with Military Rites following by the Burlington Area Veterans Honor Guard. Private interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established to help with final expenses.
