Cary Jack Atteberry, 19, of 1500 Pilger, died Dec. 2, 1993, at Ft. Hood, Texas. Born April 25, 1974, in Burlington, he was the son of Charles and Connie Thompson Atteberry. He was a 1992 graduate of Burlington Community High School. He was a member of the De Molay and the Zion United Church of Christ. Survivors include his parents; one brother, Scott Atteberry of Middletown; one sister, Lesa Williamson of Zion, Ill; his grandmother, Lavaune Atteberry of Burlington; his grandfather, Lawrence Thompson of Burlington; and two nieces and two nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandmother and grandfather. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Sheagren Fuenral Home. The funeral for Mr. Atteberry will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sheagren Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gary Chapman officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
