Arch E. Fidler, 62, of 1118 S. 10th, died at his home Thursday at 11 a.m. after a 5-month illness. He was born July 27, 1893, at Fresno, Calif., the son of Frank and Ella Wright Fidler. Aug. 11, 1920, he married the former Clela McGimsey at Papillion, Neb. He was a member of the Methodist faith, a veteran of World War I, and a member of the V.F.W. He had been employed at the Northwestern Cabinet Co. Surviving are three sons, Bernard and William, both of Bulrington, Arlo of Atlantic, a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Hunter, Burlington: three sisters, Mrs. Zeffie Farley, Huntington Park, Calif.; Mrs. Doris Harris, Pasadena, Calif., and Mrs. Mable Steward, Los Angeles, Calif.; two brothers, Harry, Los Angeles, and Onie, living in Kansas; also seven grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Giles funeral home. The Rev. James Buikema will officiate. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
