Selma L. Hull, 89, of Burlington, died at 7:08 AM Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at the Great River Medical Center.
Born March 12, 1926, in Peoria, IL, she was the daughter of Rudy and Clara Schlumpf Morey. She married Frank Jones Jr., they later divorced. On December 5, 1960, she married John T. Hull Sr. He died February 4, 1998.
Selma worked in supplies at the Burlington Medical Center for several years, retiring in 1993.
She was a graduate of Peoria High School.
She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed sewing, bingo, her cats and loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandy Hull of Burlington and Nancy Wheeler of Farmington, IL; three sons, John Jones of McAlester, OK, Frank Jones III of Bartonville, IL, Kenny Jones of CO; 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, five sisters, one daughter, Violet Lehmann and one grandson, Frank Jones IV.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Monday, March 14, 2016 at Prugh-Thielen Funeral Home and Crematory.
The funeral service for Selma will be 2:00 PM Monday, March 14, 2016, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home & Crematory with Reverend Ron Jewett officiating. Cremation will be entrusted to the care of Prugh~Thielen Crematory following the service. A private family burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery at a later date.
A memorial has been established for the First Church of the Nazarene.
