Obituary

D. Edith Hendricks Hull, 84, of Burlington since 1944, died at 1:22 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington. Born April 23, 1921, in Pulaski, she was the daughter pf Harry Franklin and Flora Edith Hargrove Hendricks. On April 4, 1942, she married Jesse Edward Hull in Memphis, Mo. He died July 14, 1990. Mrs. Hull worked as a secretary for many businesses, retiring in 1985. She was a 1938 graduate of Cantril High School and attended one year of junior college. She was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Women of the Moose and RSVP and was very active with volunteer work. She was an avid bowler and loved to boat. Survivors include one brother, Francis F. Hendricks of Kingsley; one sister, Florence E. Burkett of Winterset; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one brother. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. t 2p.m. Wednesday at Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the time of service. The funeral for Mrs. Hull will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lunning Chapel, with the rev. David Nash officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established for First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)
