Frances Louise Scheideman, 91, of Burlington, died at 4:51 p.m. Monday, Aug. 8, 2011, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington. Born Nov. 17, 1919, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Henry Gehart and Jessie Elizabeth Matthews Gruenjes. On Dec. 26, 1938, she married Leon Edward Huffman in Burlington. He died July 12, 1991. On Aug. 10, 1996, she married Daniel Scheideman in Burlington. He died April 5, 2006. Mrs. Scheideman was a homemaker, and managed the cafeteria at IRC for three years. She was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church. She was a member and served as secretary of Women's International Bowling Association. She enjoyed bowling in the Senior League. Survivors include two sons, Donald Huffman of Burlington and Jeffrey Huffman of Middletown; one daughter, Mary Terhune of Fort Madison; two grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great- great-grandchildren; one stepdaughter, Barbara Webb of Burlington; nieces and nephews. Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, and three sisters. Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. today at Lunning Chapel in Burlington. The graveside funeral for Mrs. Scheideman will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Aspen Grove Cemetery, with the Rev. Randall Gearhart officiating. Family and friends will gather at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mary's home, 2206 Avenue D, Fort Madison.
