Clyde Ashby, 58, Irish Ridge Rd., died Tuesday, Dec. 14, at Eastman Unit of Memorial Hospital. Mr. Ashby was born Dec. 4, 1913 at Wapello, the son of Harve and Edna Ashby. June 26, 1937, at Oakville, he married Thelma Rice. He was past owner of DeJon Industries and was a veteran of WWII. Survivors: The wife; children, Mrs. Marjorie Linnemann, Mrs. Jean Perkins, Mrs. Linda Lowe, all of Burlington; Mrs. Lila Boyd, Chino, Calif., Jaqueline Sue and Ricky, at home; a brother. John Ashby, Wever; a sister, Mrs. Belva Tee, Oquawka, Ill.; 11 grandchildren. Funeral: Saturday, 11 a.m. Lunning Chapel, Rev. Vernon Sorensen; Aspen Grove cemetery.
