The body of a Burlington sailor who drowned earlier this month off Okinawa was located Thursday, local Naval Reserve authorities were notified today. Dennis P House, 19, a seaman apprentice, drowned Aug. 11 when a pleasure boat carrying him and a companion capsized in Buckner Bay, the Navy reported. Houser, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Amon P. Houser, 1200 Hillary, served aboard the USS Coral Sea, an aircraft carrier. His companion, not identified by the Navy, was saved. The Housers were notified of the accident as the search for their son's body was started. Mr. Houser was born Aug. 2, 1944, in San Diego, Calif., and lived in Burlington since he was 14 months old. He attended Burlington high school and received his diploma through the US Armed Forces institute. He joined the Navy two years ago. Survivors include his parents; a sister, Mrs. Sherry May Lyons; and a brother, Gary Wayne, all of Burlington. The body will be brought to the Elliott-Lunning chapel here. Burial will be in Garden of Peace at Aspen Grove cemetery.
