William Henry House, 63, of South Houston, Texas, formerly of Burlington, died Thursday, July 16, 2009, in Pasadena, Texas. Born November 16, 1945, in Burlington, he was the son of William and Mildred Brandenburg House. He married Bonnie Miller. Mr. House retired after 20 years working at Powell Industries. He was a former member of St. Luke Church of Christ in Burlington. He enjoyed golf, barbecuing, and family gatherings. Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Elizabeth House of South Houston; two sons, William House of Pasadena, and Robert House of South Houston; one grandchild; two sisters, Sandra Nelson of Burlington, and Patricia Archer of Wataga, IL; one brother, James "Jim" House of Burlington; nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Lunning Chapel in Burlington, where the family will receive friends. The graveside funeral for Mr. House will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington, with the Rev. Vickie Englemann officiating. A memorial has been established for the American Heart Association.
