Eric Burton Whitmore, 37, of Burlington, died Sunday, April 23, 2017, in Burlington.
Born October 3, 1979, in Burlington, he was the son of Larry L. and Helen Ryals Whitmore.
Eric was a union construction worker.
He was a graduate of Burlington High School.
He was a member of the Laborers' International Union. Eric enjoyed working on 4 wheelers, fishing, mushroom hunting, going out on the river, and being outdoors. He enjoyed helping and visiting with his grandmother. He was a New York Giants fan. Most of all he loved spending time with his son.
Survivors include his parents; one son, Landen Whitmore of Burlington; his grandmother, Joan Ryals of Burlington; two brothers, Chad (Heather) Whitmore of West Burlington, and Shawn (Jessica Andrews) Whitmore of Burlington; and several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, and maternal grandfather.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh~Thielen Crematory.
Visitation will be from noon until 7:00 PM with the family to receive friends from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home.
The Graveside Committal Service for Mr. Whitmore will be 10:00 AM Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Aspen Grove Cemetery with Pastor Charles Stevens officiating.
A memorial has been established for his son, Landen.
