Arthur John Horn, 88,of Burlington, died at 1:25 a.m. Monday, oct. 20, 1997, at Burlington Medical Center. Born May 21,1909, in Wapello, he was the son of George and Esther Miller Horn. On Aug. 11, 1935, he married Elsie J. Buhmeyer in Burlington. She died Nov. 30, 1986. Mr. Horn was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was owner/operator of Art's Barbershop for 54 years. Survivors include cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents. There will be no visitation. The graveside funeral Mr. Horn will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Aspen Grove Cemetery,with the Rev. David Mixon officiating. A memorial has been established to the donor's choice. Lunning Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
