Marjean L. Ashby, 63, of Burlington, died at 4:20 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2009, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington. Born March 3, 1946, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Charles Bert and Veda Maxine Hambelton Chapman. On November 5, 1960, she married Daryl Ashby in Fort Madison. Mrs. Ashby was a homemaker. She enjoyed working in the yard, the outdoors, motorcycle riding, boating, camping, and traveling the United States. Survivors include her husband of Burlington; two sons, Tony Ashby of West Burlington, and Jerry Ashby of Burlington; and one sister, Junanne Chapman West of Burlington. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lunning Chapel, with family receiving friends from 1 to 2 p.m. The funeral for Mrs. Ashby will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lunning Chapel, with the Rev. Randall Gearhart officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
