Lois Ilene Gerling Westerbeck, 65, of Burlington died on April 24, 2006 at her home Born June 30, 1940 in Burlington, she was the daughter of Clarence and Ruth Inghram Gerling. She was previously married to Larry Westerbeck Ms. Westerbeck was a housekeeper and started working with her mother at Lincolnville Motel for 17 years, then Super 8 Motel for 8 years and currently at Burlington Care Center for the past 12 years. She also was a carrier for the Hawk Eye for the past four years. She was of the Christian faith and enjoyed gardening, crocheting, sewing, garage saleing, and her cats, Dusty and Sassy. She collected mushroom paraphernalia. Survivors include, two sons, Leon (Tami) Westerbeck of Tucson, Arizona and Lamoyne (Melissa) Westerbeck of Burlington; one daughter, Tiffany Holmes of Burlington; two grandchildren, Corey Westerbeck of Burlington and Arin Westerbeck of West Burlington; two great grandchildren, Jarah Westerbeck and Caden Westerbeck; two sisters, Norma Johns and Marge (Steve) Haden both of Burlington; and five brothers, Duane (Robin) Gerling, Harold (Linda) Gerling, Gerald (Joan) Gerling, Loran (Kathy) Gerling and Keith (Theresa) Gerling all of Burlington. Her parents; grandson, Ryan; two sisters, Virginia and Georgia; and two brothers Richard and Sidney preceded her in death. A memorial has been established.
