Angela Lynne Ashby, 29, of Burlington, died at 8:45 p.m. Monday, November 10, 1997, at University Hospitals in Iowa City. Born Feb. 16, 1968, in Burlington she was the daughter of Larry Ashby and Billie A. Gilmore Good. Ms. Ashby was a 1987 graduate of Burlington High School. She was a Head Start volunteer for two months and had worked for the Burlington Public Library for one year. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in West Burlington. Survivors include one son, Benjamis Thomas Ashby, at home, her parents, Tom and Billie Good of Burlington and Larry Ashby of Tucson, Ariz.; three brothers, Chris Ashby, Lloyd Duncan and Dan Good, all of Burlington; one sister Janice Lewis of West Burlington; two grandmothers, Annie Stamper and Dorothy Ashby, both of Burlington; four nieces; one nephew; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be after noon today at Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends following a 7 p.m. Christian wake service until 8:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Gerald Stouvenel officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery. A memorial has been established for Benjamin's education.
