Obituary
Mr. James Albert ( Bert ) Borum, 80, of 613 S. Plane, died in Burlington hospital at 7:15 p.m. Monday.
Last rites will be at Elliott-Lunning chapel at 1:30 Wednesday. The Rev. John D. Wagoner,
pastor of West Hill Methodist church, will officiate.
Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
The son of Richard and Ann Dueser Borum, Mr. Borum was born at Davenport on Oct. 8, 1883. He was married to Goldie Ryun in Harlan county, Nebraska,
on March 18, 1883. He was of the Methodist faith. Mr. Borum was a long-time employe of the West Burlington Shops.
He is survived by two sons and two daughters: James Estel Borum, Elmhurst, Ill.; Everett D. Borum, West Covina, Calif.; Mrs Thelma P. Holm, 613 S.
Plane, and Mrs. Velma Buegel, Chicago. Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Ruben, Milton, Frank, Bert, Clarence, McLindy, and Louisa.
There are seven grandchildren. His wife died previously, as did two brothers and two sisters: Perry, Charles, Kate and Mary.
