Benton Connor Holihan, 71, of Scottsdale, Ariz., died Monday, Nov. 9, 1998, in Scottsdale. Born in Burlington, he married Phyllis Holihan. Mr. Holihan was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and was an officer for the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Scottsdale. He moved to Arizona from Burlington 26 years ago. He was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church of Scottsdale and Trinity Lutheran Church of Burlington. Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Karen Holihan of Scottsdale; two sisters, Louise Smith of Mediapolis and Anna Luth of Burlington; one brother, Charles T. Holihan of Burlington; and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation. The memorial for Mr. Holihan will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Scottsdale. Memorials have been established for Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower, Phoenix, Ariz. 85014-5699 and Prince of Peace Foundation, 3641 N. 56th St., Phoenix, Ariz. 85018.
