Earl Wayne Arnold, 85, Hotel Burlington, died in Burlington Medical Center at 8 p.m. Saturday, June 18. The son of Charles William and Esther BiEtta Arnold, he was born Aug. 10, 1892, at Hornell, N.Y. He married Margery C. Parry June 7, 1914, at Danville, Ill.; she died Aug. 4, 1974. He was identified with the clothing business in Burlington for many years, and at one time owned and operated Arnold's Tailors at Third and Washington streets. He was a member of First Baptist church and the Masonic lodge. Surviving: Daughter, Betty Arnold, Stillwater, Minn.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Prugh's Chapel, Rev. Bruce R. Pullen; Aspen Grove cemetery. A memorial to First Baptist church has been established.
