Mrs. Shirley I. Hobbs, 84, of LaHarpe, Illinois and formerly of Burlington died at 1:50 a.m. Thursday, June 16, 2016, at LaHarpe Davier Health Care Center in LaHarpe.
Born March 26, 1932 in Burlington she was the daughter of Carl V. Sr. and Ida Emma (Gerdes) Magnuson. She married Richard H. Hobbs. He preceded her in death on September 25, 1969.
Mrs. Hobbs was a stenographer for the Riley Law Office. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her son, Jeff (Michelle) Hobbs of Burlington; one granddaughter; and one sister, Doris Kiser of Downers Grove, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
The memorial funeral service for Mrs. Hobbs will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 2nd, at Messiah Lutheran Church with Pastor Susanne Smith officiating. Inurnment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
