Pauline Vada Arnold, 71, of 1206 Stowe St., died at 3 a.m. Wednesday, Jan.29, 1992, at Oak Terrace Nursing Center, Davenport. Born Jan. 22, 1921, in Raritan Township, Henderson County, Ill., she was the daughter of Frank and Fern Smith. She married Delbert P. Arnold Dec. 23, 1950, in Fort Madison. He died Dec. 2, 1984. She had been a waitress in the Pine Knot Room, Hotel Burlington, for 35 years. She was a Baptist. Survivors include one daughter, Marian Folker of Lynn Center, Ill.; four sisters, Lucille Curry of Havasu City, Ariz., Joanne Scott of Westmont, Ill., Geraldine Smith of Montpelier, Ind., and Patty Magner of Dana Point, Calif.; two stepsons, Thomas Small of Stuart, and James Small of Arcata, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Sally Buchan of Custer, S.D.; two grandchildren and one greatgrandchild. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Prugh's Chapel. The funeral for Mrs. Arnold will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Prugh's Chapel with the Rev. Gregg Donaldson officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Graove Cemetery.
