Danny L. Hobbs, 26, 105 S. Plane, died at 4:50 p.m. Thursday, April 26, at Veterans hospital, Iowa City.
He was bom Dec. 31, 1946, in Burlington, the son of Eugene and Margaret Rappenecker Hobbs. He married Linda Baldwin in Oquawka, Ill., April 5, 1$9.
He was a signalman for Burlington Northern railroad, a member of Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen, and a US Army veteran of the Vietnam war.
Surviving: The wife; two children, Scott and Kristi, and two stepchildren, Brian and Kevin Hopson, all at home; his parents; four brothers and sisters. Mrs. Jeannette Bauer, Burlington, Jimmy Hobbs, Carterette, N.J., Lonnie Hobbs, Kossuth, and Penny Hobbs, at home.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday, Lunning chapel, Rev. Allen Pygott; Aspen Grove cemetery. A memorial has been established for cancer research at the University of Iowa.
