Howard Owen (Howdie) Brobston Sr., 63, of 315 Broadway, West Burlington, died in Burlington Medical Center at 11 pm Sunday, Oct. 31.
He was born Dec. 24, 1912, in Fairfield, the son of Ezra Owen and Herma Brobston. He married Evon L. Ferrel Nov. 24, 1937, at Lancaster, Mo.
He had been employed at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant for 20 years.
Surviving: The wife; four sons, Howard O. Jr., Mediapolis, Kenneth G., Vermont, Ill., Dennis D., West Burlington, and David L., Fairview, Ill.; brother, Claude, address unknown; and 22 grandchildren.
Funeral: 3:30 pm Wednesday, Lunning Chapel, Rev. John Frieboes; Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial to the Diabetes Foundation has been established.
