Glen Toney, 69, formerly of Burlington, died March 9, 2008, in Lancaster, Calif., following a long illness. Born December 20, 1938, in Kirksville, MO, he was the son of Frank and Beulah Moore Toney. Mr. Toney worked at the A&P store in Burlington for 10 years before moving to California, where he worked as a tool and die supervisor for Hughes Aircraft before retiring. He enjoyed working on cars, gardening, fishing and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and he loved his dogs. Survivors include three sons, Rodney of Florida, Rick of Joy, IL, and Jeff of Andalusia, IL; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Donna Wise of Mount Pleasant; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, one sister and one brother. The body of Mr. Toney has been cremated. The graveside service for Mr. Toney will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Aspen Grove Cemetery, with the Rev. Marshall Jackman officiating.
