Obituary

Services for Frederick A. Armstrong, 76, 526 S. Adams St., who died Sunday in San Diego, Calif., will be at Elliott-Lunning Chapel Thursday at two; the Rev. Robert Owens, Aspen Grove cemetery. Mr. Armstrong was born March 2, 1891, at Brashear, Mo., the son of Isaac and Margaret Miller Armstrong. He was married to Tina Katherine Muder in Kirksville, Mo., in July of 1919; she died in July of 1966. In December of 1966 he was married to Ione Inghram in Kahoka, Mo.A former resident of Kirksville, Mr. Armstrong was also a former IAAP employe. He served in the Army Air Force in France in World War I. He was a member of First Christian Church. Surviving: The wife; sons Richard Armstrong, Galesburg, Ill., and Roderick Armstrong of Burlington; doughters Mrs. Margaret Altenberger of Ornon, Me., and Mrs. Frances Hetz of Burlington; brother George Armstrong of San Diego; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Three brothers and three sisters, died previously.
