Obituary
Estus (sp) LeRoy Henthorn, 42, 807 1/2 Jefferson street, died at the Des Moines Veterans hospital this morning after an illness of three months. Mr. Henthorn, who spent one year, 11 months, in the service during the World war, went to the hospital May 5. He was a baker by trade. He was born in Mr. Pleasant, Ia., Aug. 18, 1897 and married Norma Corts, June 19, 1923, in St. Louis, Mo. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran church. Mr. Henthorn is survived by his widow; three children, LeRoy, 15; Thomas, 14 and Doris, 10; three brothers, Earl and William of Burlington and Charles of Wever, and by one sister, Mrs. Aletha Cheadle of Warrenville, Ill. Preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers, a sister and a daughter. Services will be arranged later. The body is at Giles chapel.
