Mary C. Applegate, 60, of Amarillo, Texas, died 5:15 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, 1988, at St. Anthony Hospital, Amarillo, Texas. Born nov. 16, 1927, in Burlington, she was the daughter of August and Nell Wolf Hart. She married James Applegate Feb. 19, 1966, in Burlington. Surviving are her husband; one daughter, Mary N. Applegate, at home; two brothers, William Hart, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Robert Hart, Burlington; and one sister, Sister Caren Hart, Chicago, Ill. Visitation will follow a rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Prugh's Chapel. The service for Mrs. Applegate will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Catholic Church with the Rev. Albert Hauser officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
