Thomas Apland, 58, Middletown, died at 11 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 14, at the Des Moines county home, where he had lived 17 years. He was born Oct. 18, 1923, in Chicago, ill. the son of Thomas and Anna Malone Apland. He was of the Baptist faith. Surviving: Two sisters, Mrs. Edythe Deakim, Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Catherine Brickner, Tuscon, Ariz., and two nephews.
Graveside committal services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Rev. George Thompson; Aspen Grove cemetery.
