Mrs. Kathleen (Kay) Beatrice Annegers, 91, of Burlington, died March 6, 2010, at Prairie Ridge Care & Rehab, Mediapolis, Iowa. She was born April 23, 1918, in Lawrenceburg, TN, the daughter of William Martin and Cora Bell Lanning Hedgepeth, Sr. On March 20, 1965, she married Herbert A. Annegers in Davenport, Iowa. He died June 2, 1982. Kay worked at the Iowa Soap Factory, IAAP, and was an inspector at C & E's for 25 years. She was a Charter Member of the Eagles Lodge, and a longtime member of West Hill Methodist Church. Survivors include two brothers William M. (Sally) Hedgepeth, Jr. of Burlington, Iowa, Paul L. (Donna) Hedgepeth of Fort Madison, Iowa; two sisters, Margaret (Warren) Mehmken of Sperry, Iowa, and Esther Hedgepeth Wright of Dallas, Texas; and six nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother Clifford Hedgepeth, one brother-in-law Harold Wright, and one niece Laura Hedgepeth. Service will be held in Prugh's Chapel, Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Morris Herd will officiate. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends in Prugh's Chapel on Monday evening from 6:30 until 8:00 p.m. Memorials have been established for West Hill Methodist Church and the Des Moines County Animal Shelter.
