Robert Lindell McCulloch, 76, of Burlington, died at 1:05 p.m. Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at his home. Born May 21, 1934, in Wever, he was the son of William J. and Helen L. Christ McCulloch. He married Joyce Smith. She died in 1986. On August 29, 1986, he married Judy Ann Smith in Burlington. Mr. McCulloch worked 30 years as driver and dock worker for Churchill Truck Lines. He served as a Corporal in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a member of First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ. He was a member of Marine Corps League, and served as Commandant of Hamilton Walters M.C.L. He was active in Toys for Tots. He enjoyed wintering in Southern Texas, fishing traveling, playing cards, deep sea fishing, golfing, and his two Shih-Tzu dogs. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Rory McCulloch of Burlington, Mark McCulloch of Columbia, MO, and Gail McCullock of Austin, Texas; one daughter, Rhonda Conzone of Eastley, S.C.; four stepchildren, Mitch Smith of Cumming, GA, Kimberly Duque and Michelle Russell, both of Burlington, and Kristy Dillon of Austin; 15 grandchildren; one special adopted grandson; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mabel Brown of Abingdon, IL, and Mary Ringler of Quincy, IL; one half-brother, James Mallum of Texas; one half-sister, Helen of Texas; nieces and nephews. Besides his first wife, he was preceded in death by one grandchild, his parents, one brother, and one sister. No visitation is planned. The body has been cremated. The memorial service with military rites for Mr. McCulloch will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in Burlington, with the Rev. Tom Smith officiating. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington. Memorials have been established for Marine Corps League Toys for Tots and First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ.
