Verla Florence Hart, 86, passed from this life on Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at Wesley Acres. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 14, 2010, at McLaren's Chapel, West Des Moines, with 3 p.m. interment in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington, IA. Visitation with the family is from 9-10 a.m. Friday. Verla was born on December 20, 1923, in Redfield, the daughter of Willard Oren and Ruth Frances (Cox) Miller. She graduated from high school and married Donald Hart on March 28, 1948, in Burlington. Verla had been an accountant for Standard Oil and Massey Ferguson. Survivors include two brothers, Jerrold (Donna) Miller of Burlington, and Galen (Shirley) Miller of Parkville, MO; five nieces, Cathy (Dan) Tiemier of Centerville, Dawn (Mike) Santora of Burlington, Cherri (Doyle) Sissel of Kearney, NE, Julia (Bill) Hatcher of Overland Park, KS, and Robin (Tim) Carroll of Gladstone, MO; and several grandnieces and grandnephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Wesley Hospice.
