Evelyn Margaret Andrews, 89, of Burlington, died at 8 p.m. Saturday, December 13, 2008, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington. Born December 18, 1918, in Burlington, she was the daughter of John H. and Marie A. Mau Noble. In 1945, she married Don Andrew. He died in 1947. On January 16, 1949, she married John C. Andrews in Muscatine. He died March 21, 1996. Mrs. Andrews worked as head cook for the Burlington School District for many years. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She enjoyed watching TV and playing bingo. Survivors include one sister, Edna (James) Pratt of Burlington; one brother, Al (Ethel) Marsh of Portland, Ore.; three grandchildren, Amy Roscigno of Simi Valley, CA, Ryan (Stacia) Andrew of Urbandale, IA, and Greg (Michelle) Andrew of Ankeny, IA; five great-grandchildren, Andrew and Isabel Roscignio, Samantha, Joseph, and Tyler Andrew and several nieces and nephews. Besides both husbands, she was preceded in death by one son, Michael, her parents, two brothers, and two sisters. No formal visitation is planned. Public wake hours will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Prugh's Chapel in Burlington. The funeral for Mrs. Andrews will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Prugh's Chapel, with the Rev. Trevor Davis officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington. A memorial has been established for Blair House Activities Fund.
