Obituary
Carman D. Hanna, 49, native of Des Moines county and World war veteran, died yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock following an illness of four years. He passed away at the home of his mother, Mrs. Charles Hanna, in Danville township.Mr. Hanna was born in Des Moines county, June 18, 1888. He served two years in the army during the World war and for one year was in action with American troops overseas. He was a member of the Long Creek M.E. church, a thirty-second degree Mason and a member of the Shrine. Surviving are his widow and one daughter, Sybel, of Burlington; his mother of DAnville township; one brother, Chester Hanna of Middletown, and one sister, Mrs. C.P. Schenck of Ft. Worth, Texas. His father preceded him in death. His body was taken to Prugh's chapel pending funeral arrangements.
