Sharon Kaye Hamlin, 51, of Burlington, died at 6:17 p.m. Monday, Oct. 2, 2000, at the Great River Medical Center. Born Nov. 19, 1948, in Colorado Springs, Colo., she was the daughter of Virgil T. and Dena I. Cooper Woods. Ms. Hamlin was a beautician and a homemaker. She was a member of the Four Square Gospel Church in Colorado Springs, Colo. She enjoyed time spent with family and especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed baking and cooking. Survivors include one son, Michael McAninch of West Burlington; two daughters, Linda Walker of Marshall, Texas, and Dawn Stewart of Burlington; her mother of Burlington; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her father. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Prugh's Chapel. The graveside committal service for Ms.Hamlin will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Aspen Grove Cemetery, with Pastor Sam Pratt officiating. A memorial has been established.
