Faye Josephine Grimes, 80, of 2910 Madison Ave. Burlington, formerly of 1025 Hunt Road, died at 12:25 a.m. Monday, Sept. 25, 1995, at Burlington Medical Center. Born oct. 1, 1914, in Concordia, Kan., she was the daughter of Robert Dennis and Huldah Lou Ellen Swaim Earley. She married Cleve o. Grimes on Nov. 30, 1932, in Unionville, Mo. He died Nov. 13, 1982. Mrs. Grimes moved to Burlington from Prairie City in 1971. She was a dietary supervisor at Burlington Medial Center for 13 years, retiring in 1984. Survivors include five sons, Robert C. Grimes of Haleyville, Ala., Donald L. Grimes of West Burlington, Michael D. Grimes of Sun Valley, Nev., and David L. Grimes and Steven e. Grimes, both of Burlington; four daughters, Ruth C. Eckrich, Bertha Weber and Linda A. Kempf, all of Phoenix, Ariz., and Bonnie J. Worley of Burlington; 19 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson; and cousins. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents. Friends may call from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Lunning Chapel. The funeral for Mrs. Grimes will be 3 p.m. Thursday in Lunning Chapel, with the Rev. David Mixon officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of Bonnie Worley, 6531 Hunt Road, following the committal service. A memorial has been established to the Burlington Animal Shelter or the Klein Unity Activity Fund.
