James “Jim” W. Grant, 64 of Burlington died at 4:36 a.m. on Tuesday, February 16, 2010, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.
Born August 13, 1945 he was the son of Stanley and Phyllis Grant.
Jim was the owner of Grant’s Body Shop. He enjoyed playing darts and pool. He also enjoyed motorcycles, car shows, NASCAR racing and collecting a variety of different things including Hot Wheels. Jim lived his life to the fullest and loved his dogs.
Survivors include one son, Terry Grant of Burlington; two daughters, Brenda Grant and Kristine Grant both of Burlington and four grandchildren, Austin, Justine, Zachary and Kylie Grant.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 19th, in Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the family.
