Betty Lou Grandinetti, 81, of Oakbrook, IL passed away on November 8th, 2016 surrounded by her Family. Betty leaves behind her husband, Phil; three children, Dennis, Anna and Phillip; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. She had 5 sisters, 6 brothers and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Betty was born in Marion, Iowa to Hazel and Morris “Tiny” Hill. After growing up and graduating High school in Burlington, IA, Betty moved to Chicago where she met her husband. Together, they were partners in business and life. In Chicago they owned Power Modeling Agency and Grandinetti Real Estate Development Co. In Burlington, IA, Betty and Phil owned Grandinetti Supper Club, 34 Raceways Racetrack, Fairway Shopping Center, Melissa's Women’s Fashion Clothing Store, Anthony's Flower Shop, and the Dugout Lounge. Betty was passionate about family, business, politics, and sports. She was kind, loving, fearless, independent and loyal. Above all else, Betty loved her Children and Grandchildren. Her loss will be deeply felt but she will be carried on in the lives of all those she has touched. We love you Betts, to live in hearts we leave behind, is not to die.
