Dorothy Leona Granaman, 83, of Burlington, died at 7 a.m. Friday, March 12, 2004, at her home. Born January 28, 1921 in Plymouth, Illinois, she was the daughter of Floyd I. and Mary Alpha Williams Keim. On August 9, 1958 she married Thomas J. W. Granaman in Burlington. He died January 15, 1989. Mrs. Granaman worked in quality control production at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed fishing, playing cards and board games, and painting and caring for her home. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Mower of Ankeny and Sandra Benford of Richardson, Texas; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Leta Smith of Galesburg, Illinois, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one grandchild. Visitation will be after 8 a.m. Tuesday at Prugh's Chapel in Burlington. The funeral for Mrs. Granaman will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Prugh's Chapel with the Rev. Betsy Lee officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established for Trinity Lutheran Church.
