Lyle R. Anderson, 71, of 420 S. Leebrick St., died Sunday, July 23, 1989, at Burlington Medical Center. Born May 9, 1918, at Des Moines, he was the son of Inez Anderson. He married Captola Klaus Luth Nov 27, 1941 in Burlington.
He was a machinist for the Burlington Railroad Shops before retiring. He was a member of the N.R.A. and the Burlington Rifle Club. He was of the Protestant Faith. He was an Army veteran of WWII.
Surviving are his wife; one son, Robert Anderson, Burlington; one brother, Richard Davis, Dallas, Texas; one sister, Wanda Kuehne, Belvidere, Il; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation. The service for Mr. Anderson will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Prugh's Chapel with the Rev. Jim Simon officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for the Hope Haven Development Center.
