Kenneth Ray "Grump" Granaman, 65, of Burlington, died at 9:35 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington. Born August 14, 1942, in Newton, he was the son of Robert and Mary Frisbee Granaman. Mr. Granaman was a switchgear assembler at General Electric, retiring after 30 years. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, fishing, trips to Bennett Springs, MO, and was a Dale Earnhart fan. Survivors include two sons, Brian Granaman of Burlington and Marty Granaman of Lee's Summit, MO; one daughter, Gina Granaman of Burlington; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lunning Chapel in Burlington, where the family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. The funeral for Mr. Granaman will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lunning Chapel, with the Rev. Frank Beaty officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington. A memorial has been established.
