Joseph H. Anderson, 81, of 1418 S. Starr was pronoumced dead on arrival at Burlington hospital at 6:52 p.m. Monday, the victim of an apparent heart attack. He had been fishing from the levee north of Burlington when he was stricken.
He was born July 30, 1887, in Benton county Arkansas, the son of John Henry and Melissa Cline Anderson, August 8, 1928, he married Lena Evans in Ottumwa, Mr. Anderson was a carpenter and member of the Church of the Latter Day Saints.
Surviving: The wife; two sons, Oral of Springfield, Mo. and Robert H. of Burlington; three daughters, Mrs. Patricia Dean and Mrs. Shirley Ford of Hayward, Calif., and Mrs. Bonnie Baxter, Springfield, Ill.; brother and sister, Sydney of Falcon, Mo., and Mrs. Francis Duncan of Lebanon, Mo.; 15 grandchildredn; two great grandchildren. Services; Thursdy at 1:30 p.m. in Giles funeral home; Aspen Grove cemetery.
