Mrs. Grace Lucille Goble, 95, of Burlington, died at 11:03 am Thursday, October 25, 2012, at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington. Born February 28, 1917, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Fred Charles and Mary Georgina Hanson Schulz. On June 15, 1939, she married Alfred Paul Goble in Cedar Rapids, IA. He died July 10, 1982. She worked at Sweetheart Bakery for many years and then was a homemaker. She was a 1934 graduate of Burlington High School. She was a member of Harmony Bible Church and attended Primetime. She loved flowers, gardening, and spending time with her family. Survivors include three sons, James Alfred (Sharon) Goble of Sherwood, AR, Robert Allen (Joan) Goble of West Burlington, and Daniel Ray (Rose) Goble of Danville, VA; one daughter, Diane Kay (Joseph) Coleman of Burlington; 8 grandchildren, Melanie and Mellisa Goble, Kathryn Kopreski, Todd and Brian Goble, and Jeoffrey, James, and John Coleman; two step-grandchildren, Kimberly and Joseph Coleman; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Kelly of West Burlington; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Ralph Schulz, three sisters, Francis Flynn, Blanche Krasuski, and Ethel Wiley. Visitation will be from noon until 8:00 PM with the family to receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, October 26, 2012 at Thielen Funeral Home. The funeral service for Mrs. Goble will be 10:00 AM Saturday, October 27, 2012, at Thielen Funeral Home with Pastor Leonard Schantz officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A time of food and fellowship will be held in the community room at Thielen Funeral Home following the burial In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Great River Hospice House..
