Herbert William Anderson, 88, of Brookfield, Wis., formerly of West Burlington, died at 7:15 a.m. Mondat, Feb. 4, 1991, at St. Camillus Health Care Center, Milwaukee, Wis.
Born Feb. 14, 1902, in Burlington, he was the son of Carl A. and Minnie Peterson Anderson. He married Ruth Pearson in 1936 in Burlington. She died Aug. 30, 1950. He was a graduate of Burlington High School. He was an electrician for the CB&Q and Burlington Northern Railroads, retiring in 1967. He was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church and the Electrical Church and the Electrical IBEW Union and was a past member of the YMCA.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Marilyn (John) Cornwell, Brookfield, Wis.; one sister, Violet Johnson, Villa Park, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
Friends may call after 8 a.m. Saturday with the family receiving friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Lunning Chapel.
The service for Mr. Anderson will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Donald Hoornstra officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
Memorials have been established for the Messiah lutheran Church and the American Cancer Society.
