Robert C. "Wimp" Gingerich Sr., 70, of Mt. Pleasant died at 7pm Thursday October 15, 1992, at Burlington Care Center. Born July 26, 1922 in York, PA., he was the son of Louis and Cordie (Snyder) Gingerich. On March 29, 1947 he married Betty Waser in York, PA. Mr. Gingerich was a supervisor at Campbell Chain Co. for 35 years. He was a WW2 Army veteran and a member of the VFW post in Farfield. Survivors include his wife; one son Robert Gingerich Jr., of Harlen and two daughters, Deborah (Jerry) Bliesener of Burlington and Sherry (Harold) Hoffman of Modesto, CA., seven grandchildren, a brother Morgan Gingerich of Mt. Wolf, PA., and a sister Letha Holtzapple of York, PA.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister. Friends may call after 9pm Sunday at Lunning Chapel, where the family will recieve friends from 7 to 8:30 pm. The funeral for Mr. Gingerich will be at 10:30 Monday at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Bryan Crousore officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established to Burlington Care Center.
