Mrs. Tillie Sophia Anderson, 84, of 1712 Lincoln, died in Burlington Medical Center at 1:05 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21. The daughter of Charles and Emma Olson Dove, she was born Oct. 1, 1891, in Burlington, where she married Fred O. Anderson Sept 10, 1919.
She was a member of First United Church of Christ, its Women's Fellowship, Dorcas-Esther circle, and the auxiliaries of the Disabled American Veterans and The Vetrans of WWI. She was chaplain of the National Senior Citizens and Hawkeye Natives.
Surviving: The husband; tow daughters, Evelyn PRice, Sunnyvale, Calif., and Edith Collenbaugh, Burlington; two sons. Kenneth, Louisville, Ky., and Ray M., Burlington; brother, Clarence Dove, Phoenix, Ariz.; and five grandchildren.
Funeral: 1:30 Friday, Prugh's Chapel, Rev. Alvin Volle; Aspen Grove cemetery. A memorial has been established for First United Church of Christ.
