Obituary
Mrs. Ruby Pearl Boughton, 67, of Burlington died today at 3:10 am at Mercy Hospital after a long illness.
She was born Feb. 28, 1898, at Hannibal, Mo., the daughter of Tom and Carrie Mackey Simms. Sept 8, 1916, she married Russell a Gerdom at Palmyra, Mo. He died in 1937.
Surviving are six children, Mrs. Charles Tracy of Galesburg. Mrs. Donald Willson of Omaha. Neb., Franklin Gerdom of Mediapolis, Iowa, and Mrs. Donald Boulton, Mrs. Herbert Kemery and Russell Gerdom, all of Burlington.
Her husband, George, to whom she was married July 3, 1939, also survives along with 20 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be Friday at 2pm at Prugh’s Chapel in Burlington. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
