Mr. John "Jack" Carroll Tully, 79, of Burlington died at 3:05 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2013, at Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.
Born June 24, 1934 in Ottumwa, he was the son of Carroll William and Martha Josephine Fox Tully.
Mr. Tully was an Ottumwa High School graduate and attended college. He was a printer for both the Ottumwa Courier and the Burlington Hawk Eye.
Mr. Tully was of the Methodist faith, a member of the Moose Lodge and enjoyed reading, family gatherings and traveling.
Survivors include his son, Michael Tully of Ottumwa; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friends, Wanda George and her family of Burlington.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Debbie Tully, one brother and one sister.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 11th, at Lunning Chapel.
