Iona LaMarr Bertrand, 48, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Burlington, died at 8:30 am Thursday, July 26, 1990, at her home.
Born Nove. 29, 1941, in Fairfield, she was the daughter of Claren and Hazel Sammons Garrison. She married Phil Bertrand Jr. on Jan. 17, 1959, in Burlington.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Bread of Life Church in Houston.
Surviving are her husband; one son, Kyle Bertrand, Houston; four daughters, Peggy Payne and Sarah Norton, both of Houston, and twins Katrina and Teresa Bertrand, at home; her parents, New London; two sisters, Rose Taylor, Lubbock, Texas, and Paula Glass, Creston City, Calif.; one brother, Tyrone Garrison, Bolivar, Ohio; and eight grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 pm Sunday at Lunning Chapel.
The service for Mrs. Bertrand will be 1 pm Monday at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Arthur Purvis of Houston, Texas, officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
A memorial has been established for the American Cancer Society.
