Charlotte Maxine Kramer, 85, of Burlington, died at 6:45 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2008, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington. Born December 30, 1922, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Phillip K. and Twila McCance Garrison Davis. Ms. Kramer was retired. She loved animals, especially dogs. She was a good seamstress and loved to cook. She enjoyed fishing. She was affiliated with the Lutheran Church. Survivors include one son, Ronald (Bonnie) Kramer of Taylor Ridge, Ill.; one daughter, Darla Gibbons of Burlington; five grandchildren, Tammy Kramer of Silver Creek, Ga., Kimberly "Rob" Colson of Sherrard, Ill., and Cheryl Ewinger, Edward Gibbons and Tim Gibbons, all of Burlington; special friend, Brandon Titus of Dallas City, Ill.; seven great-grandchildren, Taylor and Kyle Colson, Lindsey and John Ewinger, Emma, Mariah and James Gibbons; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Clayton "Doc" Davis, Gerald Wayne Davis and Allen Davis; one grandson, Kevin Kramer; one great-grandson, Edward Gibbons III. No formal visitation is planned. Prugh Funeral Service in Burlington is in charge of arrangements. The graveside committal service for Ms. Kramer will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington, with the Rev. Caleb Sampson officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for an animal shelter of your choice.
