Elmer Luther Anderson, 68, was found dead in bed at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at his home three miles west of Sperry in Franklin township
Two neighbors, Lyle Thomas and Norman Siefken went to Anderson's home after a mailman told them Anderson's mail hadn't been taken in for several days.
Dr. H.M. Patterson, Mediapolis, deputy medical examiner, said Anderson apparently died in his sleep and that death was from natural causes.
Mr. Anderson was born May 22, 1900, at Kossuth, Iowa, the son of August Lee and Hannah Cling Anderson, September 26, 1930, at Rock Island, Il he married Blanche Elizabeth Burns. She died June 23, 1965.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran church, Mediapolis, IOOF of Sperry, Rebekah lodge, and was a Franklin township trustee.
Surviving: two daughters, Mrs. Betty Felgar,Bunceton, Mo., Marilyn Anderson, Chicago heights, IL. six grandchildren; one step-sister, Helena Anderson, Chicago; and a number of nieces and nephews.
