Harold A. Garmoe, 45, of 1206 Madison Ave. died Monday, Aug. 1, 1988, at University Hospitals Iowa City. Born April 14. 1943, in Mount Pleasant, he was the son of Harold W. and Barbara d. Cochran Garmoe. He married Letitia A. Hunt May 26, 1972, in Oquawka, Il.He was employed as a machinist with J.I. Case Co. for 14 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Surviving are his wife; three children, Trent Garmoe and Christopher Garmoe, both of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Kerry Garmoe, at home; five step-children, Karmen Goodwater, Cedar Rapids, Karlene McPherson and Karla Weber, both of Simi Valley, Calif., Krista Hartman, Burlington, and Wesley Weber, at home; his parents, Burlington; two brothers, Ronnie Garmoe, Mount Pleasant, and Larry Garmoe, Burlington; two sisters, Sandra Christner, Mount Pleasant, and Shirley Stewart, Burlington; his grandmother, Velma Garmoe, Mount Pleasant; two step granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 7:30 to 9 p.m. today at Lunning Chapel. The service for Mr. Garmoe will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Gary Chapman officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
