Mrs. Edna H. Anderson, 89, Klein memorial Hospital, died there at 6:20 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12. She was born in Cedar Rapids Jan. 27, 1892, to Jacob and Uantha WArd Oliphant. She married Paul A. Bloomberg in Burlington in 1912; he died in November 1960. She married Axel R. Anderson May 7, 1966; he died Oct. 22, 1979.
Mrs. Anderson was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church.
Surviving: son William Bloomberg, West Burlington; two daughters, Gladys Smith, Tonopah, Nev., and Iona Fox, Burlington; two stepsons, James R. Anderson, Cherokee Village, Ark., and Paul J. Anderson Stuart, Fla.; stepdaughter Lucille Johnson, Cherokee Villiage; twin brother Edward Oliphant, Port Orchard, Wash.; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and eight stepgrandchildren.
Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Monday, Prugh's Chapel, the Rev. Donald D. hoornstra; Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established to Messiah Church.
